Apple is launching MacBook upgrades, iPhones and new Mac Mini in the fall, says analyst

Get ready for a bumper Apple drop this fall, if the latest reports from a well-respected tech analyst are to believed.

Apple tipster Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple will be dropping several devices in the fall, including the previously reported new iPhones.

But in addition that, there will be updates to the iPad Pro and upgrades for the MacBook as well as a budget-friendly notebook.

According to 9to5Mac, Kuo thinks this lower priced notebook might not release as the MacBook Air.

The three iPhones that are dropping in the fall, according to Kuo's insider report, are new 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED phones and then a cheaper 6.1-inch LCD handset.

The overhauled 12.9-inch and new 11-inch iPad Pros will feature Face ID but have no Home Button, he reports. BGR predicts that the space freed up from ditching the Home Button will most likely go to the screens.

And in addition to that, Kuo is reporting a new Mac Mini and some upgrades to the Apple Watch, specifically the heartrate detection, in amongst the impressive haul.

It's definitely better news for Apple fans than what they got coming from the Cupertino-based giant's Developer Conference in June where they disappointingly didn't give any hardware updates to fans at all.

If Kuo is right with his report, as he has been in the past, these will be welcome upgrades as the MacBook Air is now really old and outdone in terms of specs by other competitor brands' laptops and even Chromebooks. The display for one thing could do with being upgraded to HD and the design refreshed to make it more streamline.  Even the other Mac products could do with a major refresh.

We can only hope the patience of Apple users will pay off and these products tipped by Kuo really will arrive as reported.
