Kendall Jenner has defended herself in a Twitter spat with Frances Bean Cobain by saying that she prays every night for people experiencing hardship around the world.

The dispute unfolded when Frances Bean, daughter of rocker Kurt Cobain, reacted angrily to a tweet by reality TV star and model Jenner saying "just wish things could be easier sometimes".

"I'd rather be a scumbag than a f***ing idiot. Praise high IQ's, good taste & awareness about the state of the world," Frances Bean wrote.

She didn't hold back in reminding Jenner, younger sister to Kim Kardashian, that there are people around the world starving and in all kinds of difficulty.

"oh ya, not to mention, CANCER, famine, poverty, draught, disease, natural disasters, Death. F***, Humans are so self involved," she added. "oh shh. There are kids on earth abandoned&homeless who forcibly drink contaminated water because clean water isn't accessible."

After two days, Jenner responded by saying she was aware of her privileged upbringing and that others were not so lucky.

"An individuals feelings are relative to their environment. You don't know me, you don't even know what I was referring to." she wrote.

In another post she said: "I am aware that i am very privileged and blessed, and im thankful for that everyday, i know there are greater problems in the world."

Kendall added that she also gives to people in need and prays for them every night.

"I pray for those people every night and give back as much as i can. So who are u to judge me?"
