Justin Bieber Juno Awards 2014: No love from the home country as pop star booed at Canada's award show

Justin Bieber is a committed Christian and frequently talks about his faith

Apparently the fans aren't feeling their four-time, back-to-back, Fans' Choice Award winner. When Justin Bieber's name was announced at last night's Juno Awards, a chorus of boos resounded through the enormous MTS Centre.

Canadian singer/songwriter Serena Ryder defended the troubled star, saying that Justin has worked his entire life and "is an amazing musician."

Bieber himself did not attend the event. He may have been preoccupied, considering that he is going to trial on May 5th in Florida on charges of driving without a valid license, resisting arrest, and DUI.

Video from his January arrest shows Bieber stumbling and shaky during a sobriety test. The pop star reportedly told police he suffered a hairline fracture in his right foot from a skateboarding accident that occurred three months prior. He blew a 0.014, which is below the 0.020 legal limit in Florida for a driver under 21. Toxicology reports show the now 20 year-old also had marijuana and Xanax in his system. The arrest came after Justin and pal Khalil Amir Sharieff were allegedly drag racing in Miami.

The incident is just one of many in recent months as Bieber racks up the court cases. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating allegations that Bieber and other passengers onboard a charter flight from Canada to New Jersey on January 31st interfered with the flight crew. According to law enforcement sources, Bieber and his father were "extremely abusive verbally" to the flight attendant as they traveled to attend the Super Bowl. Both father and son refused a pilot's repeated warnings to stop smoking marijuana on the flight, according to a report by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Bieber also faces a possible vandalism charge in connection with eggs tossed at his neighbor's home in January, which caused an estimated $20,000 in damages to a Calabasas, California mansion. He is also currently dealing with an assault charge from a December incident. Bieber allegedly struck his limousine driver on the back of the head several times while driving to a Toronto nightclub.
