Jill and Derick Dillard of 19 Kids and Counting are now back home from the hospital after giving birth to Israel David, nicknamed Baby Dilly, and Jill is taking the opportunity to thank both the Duggar and Dillard families for being such wonderful sources of support.

"We are so blessed to have such a great family and such great support here at the hospital with the doctors and the nursing staff," Jill told PEOPLE. "My sisters and my mom and Derick's mom have all been in to help!"

Not everyone from the huge Duggar family has met Baby Dilly yet, but Jill says that "everyone is over the moon and so excited about him being born."

Jill shared that when Derick had to go to an orthodontist appointment to have braces put on, her parents Jim Bob and Michelle took over for him and cared for her and the baby. Michelle and Derick have also been "tag-teaming" taking care of Jill.

Her younger sister Joy Anna, meanwhile, spent the night in the hospital and lovingly braided Jill's hair. She was also part of the "buddy team" enlisted by the Dillard couple to welcome Israel David into the world, which also included James and Jennifer.

For his part, Derick shared a selfie of himself and Jill on his Instagram account (@derickdillard) now that they are back home. "As Jill and I are settling in back at home after the birth of our firstborn, we wanted to thank everyone for the amazing support we've received from so many during this time. Your thoughts and prayers mean so much to us. We love you all!" he wrote.

Jill has nothing but praises for her husband Derick, who is experiencing fatherhood for the first time. She says Derick is "doing amazing at being a dad."
