Jesus comes to Brighton

Anyone heading to Brighton to enjoy the salty sea air over the Easter weekend can find nourishment for their soul as well as their body and mind with a free performance of the Passion of Christ.

The performance is taking place twice on Easter Sunday on the lawns of St Peter's Church, once at 2pm and again at 4:30pm.

Tickets are not required and anyone and everyone is welcome to come along and watch a locally sourced, amateur cast led by professional actor James Burke-Dunsmore.

The seasoned Passion actor has played Jesus in over 80 productions around the world over the last 16 years, some of which have been broadcast by the BBC.

The open-air production will be preceded by a Palm Sunday Walk of Witness on 13 April from 12pm to 1pm, starting at the West Pier, on the seafront.

The Walk of Wintess and Passion play are being coordinated by Soul by the Sea and local art group Movement in Worship.
