Fresh off the NBA preseason, Los Angeles Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin updated fans about his life and faith in a blog post published last week.

While he described this year's training camp as his "hardest one yet," he said that he has enjoyed moving into a new apartment and reevaluating his relationship with Christ.

"God has been teaching me and challenging me to rest in His love and grace everyday," he wrote. "I have always been a 'go-getter' type of guy who is focused on the next day, the next task or the next goal. God has been reminding me to stop and enjoy the relationship I have with him daily. In doing so, I will live life with more peace, joy and purpose!"

Lin is an outspoken Christian who frequently discusses his faith in interviews and on social media. As the NBA season begins, he said he will keep Ephesians 3:20 in his heart: "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we all ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us."

The 26-year-old garnered national press after leading a winning streak for the New York Knicks during their 2011-2012 season. The resulting fanfare was dubbed "Linsanity." Lin went on to play for the Houston Rockets before being traded to the Lakers in July.

The NBA star was a Bible study teacher at Harvard University's Asian American Christian Fellowship, and recently formed a prayer group through his blog.

"The journey I've been on has had its ups and downs and I appreciate all of your support throughout," he wrote. "Some of you have asked how to pray for me so I decided to start a prayer group where I can send out requests for those that want to pray and support!!

"Please feel free to share with others you think would be interested. So much of what happens is out of our control, but prayer has been a place I have consistently found peace with God. Thanks for being such supportive fans!"

The Lakers are currently 0-4, and will face the Phoenix Suns at home on November 4.
