Pastor Saeed Abedini, who was imprisoned for over three years in Iran because of his Christian faith, did not mince words when he warned Muslims against their own faith, saying their religion comes from Satan himself.
In his Facebook post on Monday, Abedini recalled the September 11 terrorist attacks on America which happened 15 years ago. He said 9/11 changed forever the relationship between Islam and Christianity. He said the teachings in the Quran and Islam spurred the devastating terror attacks that killed thousands of people.
"Even [if] we all love Muslims and our enemies, we need to declare to them and to the whole world that Islam is from Satan, who comes to kill and destroys us. Jesus said Satan comes to kill and destroy (John 10:10 )," he said. "We need to announce we are in the war, [and] I am telling [this] to every one especially our political leaders."
Abedini said those who are following Islam are following a "liar prophet" and the "Satanic religion." He expressed hopes that Muslims could still be saved by God so they can go to heaven even as Satan wants to lead them to hell.
Abedini then shared the Bible passage from John 10:28-30. It reads, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."
The pastor urged Muslims to seek salvation by knowing the truth, humble themselves before the Lord, and repent for their mistakes, just like what he did when he was still a Muslim.
"Jesus wants to come to your heart, my Muslim friends. Accept Him as Lord and Saviour of your life now, [for] tomorrow may be [too] late," he said.
