Apple's new smartphone product, the iPhone X, has been riddled with various issues regarding its function. Apple released the iOS 11.1.2 on Nov. 16 to fix certain bugs and the issue of the phone being unresponsive in a cold environment.

There have been several complaints from iPhone X users about the smartphone being unresponsive when used in cold temperatures. Many of the complainants were also surprised to find out that the issue was software-related. One iPhone X user posted on Twitter, saying, "Anyone else struggling to type on their iPhone X in cold weather? Screen gets very unresponsive for me." Apple already acknowledged the problem and addressed it with an upgrade in the iOS system.

Most of the complaints are from iPhone X users, and there are no reports of the same issue on other iPhone editions.

According to reports, the upgraded operating system, 11.1.2, will resolve the unresponsive screen as well as other issues. The full iOS 11.1.2 release notes state that this update: "Fixes an issue where the iPhone X screen becomes temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid temperature drop. Addresses an issue that could cause distortion in Live Photos and videos captured with iPhone X."

The iOS 11.1.2 is available for iPhone 5s and newer iPhone editions.

Previous issues include problems with battery life, autocorrect issues, and the green line of death. The green line of death, unlike other issues, is a problem with the hardware function. Apple had addressed all of these problems.

Many users are waiting for a big update on the operating system for iPhone. The iOS 11.2 is expected to come in early December. There are still no information from Apple on what the upcoming upgrade will bring to the table.
