Increasing concern for missing Chinese house church lawyer

China Aid Association has expressed its increasing concern for the life of Gao Zhisheng, a Chinese Christian human rights attorney, who disappeared over 50 days ago in China.

The CAA, a Christian advocacy group, said: "He was last seen being hauled away from his home by more than a dozen police officers on February 4," reports BosLifeNews.

The CAA added, "The situation is critical, and with each day that passes, Gao Zhisheng's life hangs in the balance.”

Bob Fu, the President of CAA, said, “Gao's torture is the most severe persecution in China's modern history.”

CAA claims that the attorney was probably targeted by security forces because of his work defending house church Christians and other persecuted groups.

Gao’s wife and two children have subsequently escaped to the USA after being abused by police.

CAA said, "His family is afraid that authorities, furious at their escape, are taking revenge on Gao."
