Hillsong takes over New York's Times Square with No Other Name adverts

Hillsong Church is promoting their 2014 conference, themed "No Other Name," which will be held this summer and fall in Sydney, London, and New York City.
On April 24, the church put the conference slogan and the name "Jesus" on massive electronic billboards in New York's legendary Times Square. "No Other Name" is also the title of the church's upcoming worship album.
Hillsong is a Pentecostal megachurch founded in 1983 by Brian and Bobbie Houston. There are Hillsong Church services across Australia, as well as in London, the Ukraine, South Africa, Sweden, Paris, New York, and many other locations across the world.
The church's Art and Communications Director, Jay Argaet, told The Christian Post that hundreds of Hillsong NYC church members participated in the "No Other Name" Times Square campaign.
The bustling Midtown neighborhood has over 350,000 pedestrians every day, and huge advertisements flash in every direction.
Argaet wondered what would happen if the agenda of one of those advertisers changed, if only for an hour.
"I imagined what it would be like if that 'agenda' was pure and good," he wrote in a blog post.
"If that 'loaded message' was used to provoke someone's emotions in a way that would point them to Jesus. And I started to get a taste for taking the word 'propaganda' back and giving it new life."
Argaet also explained the meaning behind the slogan, "No Other Name."
"Whether it be a name that is associated with success, wealth or fame, or a name that speaks of failure and lack such as sickness, depression and poverty, His name - the name of Jesus - is greater."
Hillsong's conference will be in Sydney from June 30-July 4, London from July 23-25, and in New York from October 16-18. The activities include leadership workshops and master classes, worship services, and Christian music concerts.
The Hillsong Live "No Other Name" album is expected to be released in July 2014.
