Popular preacher Greg Laurie has spoken of his hope for Paris Jackson to know the love of Christ after her suicide attempt.

The 15-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson tried to kill herself last week.  A judge overseeing her guardianship has ordered an inquiry into her wellbeing.

Hours before she tried to take her life, Paris made a couple of melancholy tweets to her 1.2 million Twitter followers.
In one, she said: "I wonder why tears are salty?" and in another quoted a line from the Beatles song, "Yesterday": "Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay."

Writing on Facebook, Laurie wrote: "I pray that Paris Jackson will hear the Good News that Jesus loves her.  And I pray that whatever pain she is facing, she would know that though her earlthy father is gone, she has a Father in heaven who wants to give her life meaning and purpose.

"Don't take your life, but rather dedicate your life to Jesus Christ.  If you do that, you will find the happiness you desire and also have the hope of Heaven."
