Recent rumors and leaks suggest that Sony's action game "God of War" will be released on March 22 of this year.

Not much is known about the release date of Sony's action video game "God of War" except that it was supposed to come out this 2018. However, if recent leaks and rumors are to be followed, it is highly likely that the game will launch in March 22.

For instance, a Portuguese retailer listed the game's release date for that same exact date. A frequent customer of the retailer said that the store does not post release dates until they are absolutely sure that it is accurate. If that is truly the case, this could mean that the game will be released in the posted date, indeed.

The pre-order site for the game on Brazilian e-store ShopB also lists the game's release date as March 22. They even have a countdown of when the game will actually be released. Currently, that countdown sits at 62 days.

The March release date has some precedent, and it is not just wishful thinking for the fans to expect the game on this date. For one thing, March 22 is also the release date of the original "God of War."

Being that this is a soft reboot of the series, it is symbolic for the game to be released exactly on the franchise's 13th anniversary.

In addition, Sony has teased that there will be an official announcement about the game soon. Fans may have noticed that the franchise has a history of announcing their release dates close to the actual date.

For example, "God of War III" had its release date announced in January 2010, and was then actually released on March 2010.

Also, "God of War" games have a history of being released in March. Adding all these information would naturally lead many to assume that the highly-anticipated game will be released on the said date.
