GMA Announces Radio Station of the Year Winners

|PIC1|The Gospel Music Association (GMA) announced on Tuesday the winners of the 2006 GMA/Christian Music Broadcasters (CMB) Radio Station of the Year awards, with Houston’s KSBJ being named the winner in the Major Market category.

“To God Be The Glory!” read a statement on the KSBJ website. “We are thrilled and are so grateful to you for your love, support, and for being such a huge part in receiving this honor.”

Other winners included Orlando, Fla.’s WPOZ in the Large Market category, Columbia, S.C.’s WMHK for the Medium Market category, and Fayetteville, Ark.’s KLRC for the Small Market category.

The winners in each category were determined by a panel of judges who evaluated the stations in the areas of community involvement, ratings, air check, and industry leadership. The radio stations will be acknowledged during the 37th Annual GMA Music Awards on April 5 in Nashville at the Grand Ole Opry House.
