Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is serious about his preparation for his return as Agent Luke Hobbs in "Fast and Furious 8." The actor recently took to Instagram how he envisions his character in the "Fast and Furious 7" sequel.
In a photo showcasing the actor's breakfast fit for a big man like Hobbs, he said that unlike his role in "Baywatch" as the "lean, mean" Mitch Buchannon, Hobbs will come to "Fast and Furious 8" like "an animal — bigger, lethal, meaner and tougher than a $2 dollar steak."
Fun transition begins. Final weeks of shooting #BAYWATCH, and today I start my prep for #FastAndFurious8 which I start shooting in 4 weeks. Physically for #BAYWATCH I wanted "Mitch Buchannon" to come in lean, mean and a dysfunctional superhero of the beach. And full of raunchy Rated R humor. Mission accomplished. For FAST8, the character of "Hobbs" will come in like an animal - bigger, lethal, meaner and tougher than a dollar steak. 530am breakfast. Grass fed buffalo, whole eggs and 80grams of Cream of Wheat. (trust me, if I could cook up Vin, Statham and the rest of the Fast dudes I'd eat them too). This is gonna fun. #FF8Prep #HobbsTheBeast #FinelyTuned #2DollarSteakSucksButEadible #INeedACheatMeal
The actor revealed that his prep for the role starts today, with filming for his scenes starting in four weeks. "Trust me, if I could cook up Vin [Diesel], [Jason] Statham and the rest of the Fast dudes I'd eat them too. This is gonna fun," The Rock wrote. Principal photography of "Fast and Furious 8" begun in Atlanta and the film's chosen primary location – New York. The cast and crew are now in Cuba while establishing shots will come from Ohio. The crew for the film is putting together the sets to push through the filming. According to Cuba Headlines, Diesel and co-star Michelle Rodriguez have already flown there while Charlize Theron should be there soon.
I love the people here such a warm culture full of life n good vibes... Kind of hoping they keep this amazing energy forever, it's so cool to see how creative everyone is, how the culture loves their elders, people seem to live long lives here, I feel so many cultures are so self obsessed many forget their elderly & consider them a burden, here in Cuba there is a respect & a love for the elderly I envy that about the culture. That kind of respect & love is a beautiful thing, especially in an era where most cultures see only the mistakes & dogma of past generations instead of the lessons learned from those who paved the way. Respect
It has been confirmed that the "Mad Max Fury" star will play the role of the antagonist in "Fast and Furious 8," although details about her role are difficult to come by at the moment. Tom Hiddleston is also rumored to make an appearance after revealing his love for "Fast and Furious 7."
Scott Eastwood was also confirmed to star in the new "Fast and Furious" movie and he promises the project will be a tribute to the late Paul Walker, who starred in the franchise as Brian O' Conner.
Just recently, Diesel remembered his good friend once again with a fan-made art showing his character Dominic Toretto on his own, describing the artwork as "pretty intense" and suggesting how badly Walker is missed.
"Fast and Furious 8" hits the big screen on April 14, 2017.
