Farrah Abraham isn't exactly a conventional Christian, having penned no fewer than three erotic novels and starred in two adult videos.
She's also performed in gentlemen's clubs and bars, and is a single mom raising her daughter Sophia to late boyfriend Derek Underwood.
A 'skirt to the knee' Christian woman she is not, but the Teen Mom star doesn't see any contradiction between her unconventional career pursuits and her faith.
Speaking to The Christian Post, the 23-year-old said faith was "number one in my heart and mind".
"Without this, I would not be the best parent I could be, and my daughter would not be as gifted as she is. I can't say enough and be thankful enough. Faith allows me to feel balanced, grow endlessly, and always feel loved," she said.
"Many would look at what I do and feel as though there is a conflict," Abraham said.
"If you know what faith is, and you truly try to understand the examples of God in the Bible and learn and reflect on them, just know I didn't pick what I'm doing nor did I share the full details of how I got to be where I am, as you may judge in black and white from the outside.
"I let God lead my life and faith—enough said."
Abraham has been on and off TV screens since first appearing on 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom back in 2009. At only 16, she had already experienced a lot in life, as Sophia's father died in a car accident in 2008.
She believes that although the path she is taking now might not be the obvious one to lots of people, she is just following the path God is carving out for her in life.
"No matter where I am, whether it's in a gentlemen's club or church, I know my faith is what guides me," she said.
