The hearts and prayers of "Duck Dynasty" stars Willie Robertson and his daughter Sadie went to the victims of the recent Lafayette theatre shooting, which claimed the lives of two innocent moviegoers and injured nine others.

According to CNN, 59-year-old John Russell Houser stood up inside a cinema that was playing "Trainwreck" on Thursday night and began shooting. His bullets hit 21-year-old Mayci Breaux and 33-year-old Jillian Johnston, instantly killing both women.

Nine others were injured because of his random firing, and police reported that the injuries of those wounded range from minor to life-threatening. Two of the victims have already been released while one still remains in critical condition.

On Friday, Willie shared his thoughts on his Twitter page and wrote, "Praying for my folks in Lafayette, LA. So sorry for senseless loss and those injured. We should be able to see a movie and not get shot!!"

His 18-year-old daughter Sadie followed suit and tweeted: "Praying for everyone in Lafayette. So sad to hear about another shooting, especially so close to home."

The shooter, Houser, managed to get outside of the theatre following the massacre as hordes of people were rushing outside. Reports said he was already headed towards his blue 1995 Lincoln Continental when he heard sirens from approaching police cars. He reportedly went back inside the theatre and shot himself using a .40-calibre handgun.

Police are still unable to determine what Houser's motive was for the shooting. He was treated for mental health problems from 2008 to 2009 in Russell County, Alabama. His own family had him involuntarily committed to a mental facility "because he was a danger to himself and others."
