With the conclusion of the Tokyo Game Show 2016 event, a new gameplay trailer has been released for the upcoming "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game. Bandai Namco has showcased some new characters, and the video game publisher also announced the open beta release date for the title.

According to Yibada, Bandai Namco's game trailer for this event included some new characters for the game such as Time Patroller Trunks and Chronoa. The latter, as fans can remember, is the Supreme Kai of Time, and these two will be the ones to explain the events that led to the sequel.

In the trailer, Towa and Mira are shown to be disrupting time once again. These two villains are two of the main antagonists of the first game, and as such, they have also gathered the other villains from the "Dragon Ball" series such as Cooler, Lord Slug, and Turles in order to battle the Time Patrollers.

With this, players can now have their characters travel to Conton City, which is the new Hub city for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." Similarly, the players will be able to pick from the five races available: Human, Saiyan, Namekian, Frieza, and Majin.

Each of the races has their own unique capabilities and can be customized in terms of appearance, like adding gi uniforms or even casual clothes, which makes all players unique from one another.

Furthermore, according to Game N Guide, the official closed beta for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be scheduled on Oct. 8 while the open beta will be on Oct. 14. However, this period is only exclusive for PS4 players, and after Oct.17 the open beta test period will be over.

As for its official release date, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" will be launched on Oct. 25 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles and Oct. 28 for the PC version. The Bandai Namco Store currently offers pre-orders for $60.
