"Diablo III" is allegedly hot in development for another console, as the game has been rumored to have a Nintendo Switch version in the works.

Fans of the franchise and owners of the Switch might want to take the rumor with a grain of salt since Blizzard or Nintendo has yet to confirm the rumor. The rumors originated from website Neoseeker, which claimed that Blizzard, the developer of "Diablo III," will be utilizing the intricate multiplayer capability of the Switch in order to provide a unique experience for the action roleplaying game (aRPG).

This involves local play with multiple Switches allowing people to team up for local co-op action in order to stop the antagonist Diablo from destroying the in-game world of Sanctuary. It seems that a lot of people are hopeful for the Switch port of "Diablo III" since the "Doom" Switch port is quite a success, and that game is graphically demanding, meaning "Diablo III" might not be too hard to pull off. One thing to note is that "Diablo III" is nearly a six-year-old game this year since it was first released back in 2012 on the PC and to the consoles a year after.

There was also the fact that Blizzard also stated interest in delving into the hybrid console territory due to how highly popular it is right now and perhaps even more so in the near future. For all people know, it could only be a matter of time before Blizzard ports its most popular games to the Switch such as "Overwatch" or the others. At this point though, it is still too early to tell.

There's a chance that it might get featured or at the very least, hinted at the upcoming E3 this June, along with other upcoming video game titles and technologies. Fans are advised to stay tuned for further announcements regarding the Switch port of "Diablo III."
