Delirious? and Matt Redman Rock the Stage at Christmas Celebration

|PIC1|A Christmas celebration took place last night as legendary British worship artists Delirious? and Matt Redman rocked the Shepherds Bush Empire in London last night with Christmas carols and other spirited songs.

The concert opened up with Matt Redman singing "Come let us Adore Him" , and was followed by a new song "Beautiful News", from his upcoming release Beautiful News. He continued to sing his favourite hits such as "Dancing Generation", and award-winning song "Blessed be Your Name". In addition, he led the audience in worship as he sang a version of David Crowder's "Undignified" and Tim Hughes' "Here I am to Worship".

Delirious? lit the stage wearing matching white uniforms, as they led the crowd in singing old and new hits, many from their latest studio release The Mission Bell. They opened up with "Here I am Send Me", and continued on with the band's traditional "Rain Down," leading hundreds to jump up and down to the beat as they delved into praise spirits.

In addition, a HopeHIV presentation was led by Delirious? pianist Tim Jupp prior to their concert. The band has been promoting the HopeHIV appeal at the start of each gig, and so far, more than 8,800 people have responded to the message. £17,000 has been raised to support the work among AIDS orphans in South Africa. Last night, the audience was encouraged to donate through text messaging on the spot. Hundreds pulled out their mobile phones and immediately took action.

In other news, Delirious? concluded 'The Mission Bell Tour' last October and November, with special guest Tim Hughes, following the release of the band's latest CD/DVD project Now Is The Time: Live At Willow Creek.

Redman will release an all new studio album, Beautiful News via Sixstepsrecords on 26 December 2006 in the US. The album UK release will take place in January.

The worship-driven set is led by first single "You Never Let Go," already a top ten hit on adult contemporary Christian radio.

Redman won the Praise & Worship Album of the Year GMA Music Award last April for Blessed Be Your Name: The Songs of Matt Redman VOL. 1, featuring live versions of his modern church favourites including the title track, "The Heart Of Worship", "Let My Words Be Few" and "Better Is One Day" among others.

In addition to "You Never Let Go", some of the other new tunes on Beautiful News will include "Thank You For Healing Me", "Shine", "A Greater Song", and "Fearfully & Wonderfully Made".
