Ciara supports BF Russell Wilson on pledge of abstinence: 'It's until the deal is sealed'

Singer Ciara Harris, 29, could only support her Christian NFL player boyfriend Russell Wilson, 26, when he revealed that they were abstaining from sex in their relationship prior to marriage.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, she confirmed the earlier statements made by Wilson to Pastor Miles McPherson of The Rock Church in San Diego. "It's until the deal is sealed. Absolutely!" she said. "It was an organic thing for him and I think he was just being honest about where we are."

She also echoed her boyfriend's struggles with celibacy, admitting that it's not so easy for them to maintain purity in their relationship although they are very committed to it. "I think both of us look at each other and we're like – whew! But we take it one day at a time and keep it going with each other, and I'm really enjoying every day that we're sharing," she said.

During an event for Austrian bread company Eat the Ball, radio personality Rachel Belle confronted Wilson once again regarding their stance on abstinence, and asked whether or not he had any regrets with his decision.

"I don't have any regret, no," he answered. "I'm a blessed man, I'm very, very grateful."

Wilson cannot help but be impressed by Ciara because of her kind heart and spirit. "Ciara is one of a kind. A good friend introduced us when I was in LA at one point. So ever since, we've been talking every day. It's been so good," he told Access Hollywood.

Ciara already has a son named Future with her ex-fiancé also named Future. She might not be very vocal about her faith compared to Wilson, but she described her son as the best gift God has ever given her.

"Honestly, I feel like everything in life happens for a reason, and my son has been the greatest gift that God has given me in my life. And he's been the most game-changing thing that's happened to my life, in a necessary way," she told The Breakfast Club.
