Chariots of Fire tickets up for grabs

Damaris Trust and More Than Gold are offering churches the chance to win tickets to the premiere of the digitally remastered Chariots of Fire in London on 10 July.

Damaris has put together free resources for churches to make the most of the film, which tells the inspirational story of devout Christian and 1924 Olympic gold medallist Eric Liddell.

The 1981 film is being brought back to the big screen in all its digitally remastered glory to coincide with the Olympics.

Resources include videos exploring some of the themes in the film and a discussion on trust between Chariots of Fire producer Lord David Puttnam and managing director of 20th Century Fox, Cameron Saunders.

There are also clips from the film to accompany talks and resources for use in primary and secondary schools.

"Chariots of Fire is a wonderful movie," says Damaris co-founder Nick Pollard.

"It is one of the most honest and uplifting portrayals of Christian spirituality ever put to film.

"Our hope is that churches will make the most of this unique opportunity."

More Than Gold chief executive David Willson said: "We're delighted to be working with Damaris to encourage churches in their outreach.

"Damaris's resources around Chariots of Fire are a huge help for churches and the opportunity to win free tickets for the red carpet premiere is a wonderful reward for some hard working church leaders and members."

For your chance to win, head to www.damaris.org/chariots-church and fill in the online form before 1 July explaining how you are going to use Damaris's free resources in your outreach this summer.

There are five pairs of tickets up for grabs.
