Christian country singer Carrie Underwood has a brand-new album out and it's called "Storyteller." The new mom and fitness junkie is excitedly talking to fans about her new work on her social media page.

Underwood has put up a question and answer portion with fans on her Facebook page.  When asked how "Storyteller" differs from her previous albums, she answered: "I think it definitely has its own sound and feel, but I hope I kept all of the things that people have enjoyed about my music to date. I just wanted to keep growing as a songwriter and as an artist. It's very exciting! And, obviously, I stick to a lot of what I love about country music... which is storytelling!"

That deep love for storytelling is what inspired the album name, said Underwood.

She said the album may surprise fans since it sounds somewhat different from her previous albums. "I feel like a lot of the songs that I wrote and gravitated to ended up being more traditional and 'twangy' than anything I have ever done before," she shared. "I just went with it! I love the storytelling aspect of country music. It's one of the reasons I always wanted to be a part of it."

There are no duets in the new album, she said, but a lot of talented people can be heard singing in the background. One of the album's first song releases is entitled "Smoke Break," and Underwood could not resist sharing the story behind it.

"We were writing and kept taking breaks to go outside because we were getting a little stuck on a song we were already working on. It was so beautiful outside, that we had a hard time focusing so we decided to write a song about taking breaks! 'Smoke Break' seemed like a great title, so we ran with it!" she said.

It is not lost on Underwood that she gets to sing for a living, and she considers herself one lucky girl to get paid doing what she loves best. In fact, she has a "pinch me" moment every day. But despite her years of performing on stage, Underwood still feels very nervous before she greets her audience.

"I've been waiting for the day that my knees don't shake, but I guess if I'm nervous, it means I care, right?!" she said.
