Carrie Underwood now CMT Music Awards' most honoured artist with 13 trophies to her name

Country Christian star Carrie Underwood was one of the big winners during the 2015 CMT Music Awards on Wednesday night as she took home the Video of the Year for her hit song "Something in the Water" as well as two other awards.

Underwood also bagged Female Video of the Year for that same song, as well as Collaborative Video of the Year for "Somethin' Bad" with Miranda Lambert. Underwood earlier received two nominations each for both Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year.

All in all, Underwood has already taken home a total of 13 CMT Music Awards, making her the awards show's most honoured artist to date.

The awards ceremony was Underwood's first public appearance after the arrival of her firstborn son Isaiah Michael Fisher this February, according to the Gospel Herald. She credits both her husband Mike Fisher and Isaiah for giving her inspiration to create beautiful music.

"This is my first show since little Isaiah has been in the world," she told the crowd in Nashville, Tennessee's Bridgestone Arena. "He's probably napping on the bus right now, but I should definitely say that he has already inspired me so much, as well as my husband Mike. Thank you guys! This is such an amazing blessing."

Underwood truly felt overwhelmed with joy because of the distinction given to her by the CMT Music Awards, and she later shared on her Twitter account (@carrieunderwood): "WOW! I seriously can't believe tonight! Thank you, fans! I don't deserve your amazingness, but I am forever grateful for it! Thank you!"

"Something in the Water" is the country singer's longest-running Billboard No. 1 hit, and the music video has already received over 12 million views on YouTube.

"It's really kind of a joyous uplifting song about changing your life for the better," Underwood earlier told NBC Today. "And kind of having that 'ah-ha' moment, to waking up and your life being different from that moment forward."
