Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger sister of international singing sensation Britney Spears, experienced the stormiest season of her life last February after her daughter, Maddie, got into an ATV crash and was placed in critical condition at the hospital.

Thankfully, Maddie survived the accident. Jamie Lynn, who turned 26 last Tuesday, recalled her daughter's ordeal on Instagram (@jamielynnspears), saying God used the accident to teach her a lesson.

"I'm not one to preach, and I'm no priest, but God's timing is no coincidence," she wrote. "I hate seeing, much less, reading someone's long post, but here I go: Music, and my career [has] always been a big passion in my life, as well as to create a future that my family could be proud of. I have been working on my music for almost a decade now, and I have had many great successes as an artist/writer, but I was always wondering, how long I would have to WAIT for my big break? Wow, did God put me in my place..."

When Maddie, 8, was unconscious for several days in the hospital, Jamie Lynn said time felt like a "blur." She said she put everything on hold while her daughter was in the hospital, and it felt like time did not matter.

"Now, more [than] ever, I realize how important it is to only put your time into things that matter, and I can't wait to get back to my music. Now, that my baby girl is better — I can't wait to make her proud. She is my everything. I want to thank you all for your patience, and prayers as we worked through this hard time."

Jamie Lynn told her fans that she will be creating new music soon, and guaranteed that "26 is gonna be a good year."

Jamie Lynn's daughter was rushed to the Children's Hospital in New Orleans last February after Maddie accidentally drove an all-terrain vehicle into a pond on a relative's property in Kentwood, Louisiana.

The whole Spears family was extremely worried over Maddie's condition, and turned to God during that difficult time. Britney even made an appeal to her 50.5 million Twitter followers, saying, "Need all the wishes and prayers for my niece."
