BMI Music Awards to Honour Christian Music at GMA Week

|PIC1|The BMI Christian Music Awards will salute the songwriters and publishers of the past year's most performed Christian music on US radio and television at the Gospel Music Association Week in Nashville, Tennessee.

Hosted by Jody Williams, Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, along with Associate Director, Writer/Publisher Relations Beth Mason and Senior Director, Writer/Publisher Relations Thomas Cain, the Awards will honour the BMI Christian Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Publisher of the Year.

Special performances will be led by Kirk Franklin, Casting Crowns' Mark Hall, and Sanctus Real. The event will take place on Saturday at BMI's Music Row Offices.

Over 3,000 gospel musicians and fans will gather in Nashville for the GMA Music Week 07.

The convention takes place 21 to 25 April, and wraps up with the GMA Dove Awards, Christian music's biggest night of the year.

GMA Music Week will further feature a line-up of showcases, featuring some of gospel music's most talented artists. Dubbed as the Green Room Showcases, the concerts will feature the likes of Third Day, Jeremy Camp, Shawn McDonald, Pillar, Nichole Nordeman, among many others.
