Benham brothers believe Donald Trump cannot make America great again

Identical twins Jason and David Benham might be choosing Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump over his opponent, Democratic bet Hillary Clinton. However, that does not mean they are pinning all their hopes and faith into the business magnate.

The two told The Christian Post that neither Trump nor Clinton is "a leader that is biblical or has the qualifications to lead the nation." They believe that Sen. Ted Cruz, who was once in the running for the presidency, actually fits the bill. They gave their support to Cruz, but unfortunately, the politician backed out of the primary race when Trump's lead became insurmountable.

The Benham brothers acknowledged that there are indeed other options such as Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party's Jill Stein. But the two believe the votes will ultimately narrow down to Trump and Clinton.

"David and I, the way we feel, there really isn't a third option," Jason said. "There is just two in terms of a vote."

A lot of conservative evangelicals are actually warming up to the idea of Trump as president, since he pledged to protect religious liberty and appoint pro-life judges and justices. In contrast, Clinton has been actively promoting LGBT agenda and abortion, much to the dismay of the faith community.

Jason said it's always good to hope for a better future for America, but that does not mean people should "put your faith, hope and trust in Donald Trump."

"And it doesn't mean that we are saying that this is going to save our country," he added. "Look, you can put this on record: Donald Trump cannot make our country great again because he never made it great in the first place. The almighty God is what makes countries great and we know lots of people that are in Donald Trump's court who he is listening to and these are good, godly men and godly women."
