Bebo Norman reaches No 2 on iTunes Christian album chart

Bebo Norman's new album has rocketed to No 2 on the iTunes Christian album chart.

Bebo has been making great music since his 1999 debut, Ten Thousand Days, with his follow-up, Big Blue Sky being voted the No 1 Christian album of 2001 by the editors of Amazon.com.

Since then he's released many more projects - Try in 2004, Between the Dreaming and the Coming True in 2006, and a couple of self-titled projects towards the end of the last decade.

Fast forward to 2012 and his eighth studio album, Lights of Distant Cities.

The album was co-produced by close friend and longtime live collaborator, Gabe Scott, as well as Ben Shive.

It's all about faith in the unexpected moments of day-to-day life and that mysterious miracle of light from darkness.

Says Bebo: "You can't understand light unless you understand darkness, because that's where life is most often lived - somewhere between the two.

"It's messy and it's beautiful all at the same time."
