Worship Central Live recording - will you be there?

Worship Central is excited to announce that this autumn they will be recording a live album on 26 and 27 October at HTB Onslow Square in London.

Following on from their first live album, Spirit Break Out, these two evenings will be packed full of new songs written by Tim Hughes (Happy Day, Here I am to Worship), Al Gordon (Because of Your Love), Ben Cantelon (Saviour of the World), Nikki Fletcher (All Glory), Luke Hellebronth (Spirit Break Out), these will be evenings for everyone involved and passionate about the worship life of the local church. It is a great opportunity to be part of the recording of Worship Central’s second live album.

Led by Tim Hughes and Al Gordon, Worship Central is an international movement of worshippers with a vision to encounter God, equip the worshipper and empower the local church. Since launching in 2006, over 100,000 people have attended training events around the world and used the online resource worshipcentral.org.

Worship Central is a part of Alpha International. The Alpha Course is an effective tool for evangelism and is being run by local churches of all major denominations throughout the world. Over 55,000 Alpha Courses are running worldwide, with over 8,000 of these in the UK.

Worship Central runs a growing number of international training conferences in India, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, the USA and throughout Europe. Past and present speakers and worship leaders include Mike Pilavachi, Martin Smith (Delirious?), Nicky Gumbel, Francis Chan, Matt Redman, Phil Wickham, Michael Gungor, Brenton Brown, Pete Greig, N.T. Wright, and others.

In 2011 Worship Central launched the Worship Central Course. This 7 session course provides material that allows local worship leaders in churches around the world to train their worship teams in theology of worship; develop their musicianship and songwriting abilities; and explore key leadership values. Following the success of the Alpha Course it is hoped that this material will help churches train their teams all over the world.

In addition, Worship Central runs a London-based Academy. This provides a unique opportunity for a select group of students to invest a year with the team in London. Designed to develop and sharpen students’ skills, the Academy offers a structured programme of world-class theological training, practical coaching and the chance to be involved at the heart of a dynamic local church, Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB).

The website worshipcentral.org attracts tens of thousands of hits per month and offers practical resources for the worshipping community. Popular sections of the website include a new song of the month, regular blogs from the team, an interactive forum with a songwriting clinic, as well as video/audio recordings of teaching from various Worship Central events.

In 2011 Worship Central released their first Live Album Spirit Break Out which rose to 7th place in the UK iTunes downloads charts.
