Mazda has announced pricing and available features for the 2018 MX-5 Miata. For the new model year, the sports car receives several performance updates as well as a new color option for the soft-top roof.

The 2018 Mazda MX-5 Miata is now available with a Dark Cherry soft top. Customers can choose between the new color or a more standard black roof. Both options will serve as striking accents to the three exterior paint colors: Machine Gray Metallic, Soul Red Crystal, and Snowflake White Pearl Mica.

There will also be more color combinations, with the Auburn interior and Nappa leather upholstery now available for the MX-5 Grand Touring models. These options were previously available only for the MX-5 Launch Edition.

In terms of performance updates, the 2018 MX-5 Miata benefits from a retuned rear suspension and enhanced power steering. These components will further improve ride handling and minimize cabin noise. As for the cabin, a 7-inch Mazda Connect infotainment system will now be offered as a standard feature.

Depending on the model, available features include LED headlights and taillights, heated seats, leather-wrapped shift knob and handbrake, Bluetooth connectivity, dual cupholders, USB ports, keyless entry, a premium audio system and 17-inch dark gunmetal aluminum alloy wheels.

There will be three trim levels for the 2018 Mazda MX-5 Miata. When equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, starting prices are as follows: Sport ($25,295), Club ($29,155) and Grand Touring ($30,195). Customers can opt for a six-speed automatic transmission for $26,645, $29,755 and $31,270, respectively.

Mazda is also offering two performance-focused packages. The Club Brembo/BSS Package ($3,770) comes with black leather-trimmed seats with heating function, aerodynamic side sill extensions, a rear bumper skirt, 17-inch forged alloy wheels and front Brembo brakes. Meanwhile, the Club Brembo/BBS Recaro Package ($4,470) adds Recaro sports seats as well.

The 2018 Mazda MX-5 Miata will arrive at U.S. dealers at the end of December and will be available nationwide next month.
