The new "Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris" downloadable content (DLC) has been released. It was made available for preload starting Dec. 5 for players on all major platforms.

The download has a file size of 6.161 gigabytes (GB), and along with the base game, the total amount of space needed for download is at least 44 GB of storage on PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One and 68 GB on PC. For PS4 players, however, they must set aside at least 88 GB of storage in order for some new features of the update to be integrated successfully, such as playing at resolutions up to 4K with high dynamic range (HDR) color.

In "The Curse of Osiris," players must venture to the planet Mercury to enlist the help of the Warlock Osiris to end the Vex plot. Warlock vanguard Ikora Rey will explain that a gate has been opened on the planet, with a massive, trans-temporal army gathered there.

Of course, it means that new story missions will be available in the DLC. In line with this, the experience level cap has been raised to 25, while gear-based power levels are raised to 330. Players can reach as much as 335, with the help of mods.

Also, there will be exclusive PS4 content in the new DLC not found in other platforms: a Crucible map called "Wormhaven," which is found in the New Pacific Arcology on Titan. Also, the PS4 expansion will include three new player-versus-player maps on the console, while Xbox One and PC versions will only get two.

A new update was also released alongside "The Curse of Osiris." For the full patch notes, click here. Update 1.1.0 includes several screen enhancements to consoles, as well as numerous changes to balance, bug fixes, and other adjustments.

"Destiny 2: The Curse of Osiris" is currently available for download on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
