20th 'National Christian Resources Exhibition' begins on 11th May

The National Christian Resources Exhibition (CRE) will celebrate its 20th anniversary from Tuesday 11th til Thursday 14th May at Sandown Park Exhibition Centre, Esher, Surrey.

The CRE connects with 350 essential charities, missions and church suppliers, which provide a good opportunity to gain the latest ideas and thinking, designed to help out the ministries.

There will be 80 seminars on a wide range of issues, which are considered to be the key elements of visits to CRE. The participants will be able to learn from others and hear experienced practitioners share practical and spiritual insight on a great variety of issues. Speakers include Anne Graham Lotz, Gerald Coates, Steve Chalke, Rob Frost, Adrian Plass, Ram Gidoomal, Steve Connor and Bishop John Sentamu.

Since the first show in 1985 hundreds of thousands of people have visited Christian Resources Exhibitions (CRE) and left better trained, advised and equipped for ministry.

The 2004 Christian UK Christian Book Award (UKCBA) will be announced on the second day of CRE by Ann Widdecombe MP. It is a bi-annual, national event sponsored by the Christian Book Trust. The Awards aim to identify and promote, what is currently perceived as the best titles in Christian publishing and to promote the Christian faith, by raising the awareness of Christian books to the general public.

"The world and the church have changed greatly over the past twenty years. There are fewer people in church and yet at the same time there is a greater search for real meaning and satisfaction in life. Many people are on a spiritual quest. The challenges and opportunities facing a church committed to mission and evangelism are enormous. It is for this reason we need CRE more than ever and the theme this year of Future Church could not be more appropriate and relevant." Captain of Church Army Philip said.
