Christian Group Donates Building to Cleric

It was celebration, dancing and feasting as a Christian group under the umbrella of 'Busy Bees Society' recently donated a fully furnished two bedroom flat bungalow to the Vicar of First African Church Mission, Oyingbo, Lagos.

The Busy Bees Society, made up of 17 ladies, who are all members of the Church, danced to its pulpit, where they presented the keys of the house to Rev. Ade Oyebanjo, amidst praises to almighty God.

Delivering a speech during the presentation, Mrs. Modupe Hughes thanked the Church's patrons, matrons and their friends, who donated generously to make their dreams come true, praying that the Heavenly Father would reward them richly for the great honor they have done to His mighty name.

Mrs. Hughes said members have a lot to do in terms of replacing the furniture in the Church and painting of the building so that it will be befitting for worship.
Speaking to City Diary, Hughes stated that it has taken a lot of effort for them to build the house but with their personal efforts and assistance from generous donors through organisation of fund raising, they were able to complete the project.

Beside the project, she said the society intends to execute other projects, including visits and donations to motherless babies' and other orphanage homes.
While receiving the key of the house, the Vicar of First African Church Parish, Rev Ade Oyebanjo, described it as the key of life, urging members to pray so that the presentation of the key will be the beginning of progress to vicars and members of the Church.

He prayed for peace to be upon those, who will reside in the building, just as he prayed that members of the Busy Bees Society would experience progress in their lives.
