New leaks revealing more of Xiaomi's next purported flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 5, recently surfaced. Reports from Weibo debunks previous claims that the future handset will feature a fingerprint scanner and will instead get a bigger brother, dubbed by the site as the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus.

Xiaomi has not said a word about the Mi 5 or its alleged bigger version but Weibo has plenty of information about the two. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is said to come with a 5.2-inch Quad HD display that renders a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution.

The handset is rumored to draw its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which may be paired with a 3 GB or a 4 GB RAM. It is made more formidable with a 16-megapixel rear-facing shooter and most likely an 8-megapixel shooter on the front. Storage-wise, it looks like it will come in 16 GB and 32 GB memory options.

As for its bigger sibling, the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus may be set at 6 inches with 2K display, and its body is rumored to feature ultra-thin bezels. As for what's under the hood, it is likely to have the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus will likely share the same 16-megapixel camera unit as the smaller device but what makes it look and sound redoubtable is its hefty 4 GB RAM coupled with 32 GB of storage.

It is heavily rumored that Xiaomi will lift the veil off the handsets in July and that the tech firm will make them official anytime soon. But of course, the devices remain to be rumors as the Chinese company has yet to confirm the existence of the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus.
