'X-Men Apocalypse' update: Hugh Jackman talks about 'Wolverine 3'; Daniel Cudmore to ditch Colossus role for 'Deadpool' film?

The follow-up movie to the 20th Century Fox hit "X-Men: Days of Future Past" will mark the return of the younger versions of the mutants. However, it's not clear whether or not Wolverine would be in the movie. But if there is one person who can tell X-Men fans about the latest in "X-Men: Apocalypse," surely, it's Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman.

However, it came as a surprise when, during an interview, Jackman couldn't divulge solid information about the sequel.

Jackman said in the MTV Happy Say Confused Podcast, "I have been speaking to the guys, and I'm not at liberty to tell exactly what's going on ... which is largely framing my answer here ... But there's still a lot unknown about that, actually. There are some very exciting things about integrating the whole X-Men world, including the Wolverine movie. There's some really cool things going on."

Well, even if he doesn't appear in "Apocalypse," he did confirm that "Wolverine 3" is in talks, saying, "I'm very, very excited about that actually."

The Aussie actor will work with James Mangold in the film.

Meanwhile, there's one character from the past "X-Men" movies that will reportedly not be returning for "Apocalypse." It's Daniel Cudmore's Colossus.

On his Twitter account, he posted, "Been getting a lot of questions about Colossus being in X-Men Apocalypse, I honestly don't know either way."

When asked if he was interested in being in the "Deadpool" movie, this is what he had to say: "Does a bear s--- in the woods?"

So yes, he clearly wants to be a part of it.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
