X-Men: Apocalypse may be still be a more than a year away but director Bryan Singer seems to be starting the teasing game. In fact, he did through Instagram, providing X-Men fans a glimpse of what is in store come May 27, 2016.

Through the post, Singer shows off a picture which seems to be an image of Egypt through a pair of glasses. And if you are among the many Marvel comic readers, you can probably more or less understand why the picture was shown off by Singer.

In the photo is a giant pharaoh and pyramid, something that comic fans can easily associate with the mutant Apocalypse. Apocalypse is a mutant which has control over his body, being able to enhance his physical abilities and transform his body parts into weapons as he adapts to any kind of environment. Playing the role of Apocalypse is Oscar Isaac.

Though that information may be too general at this point, the setting and the storyline is something that many may be eagerly looking forward too. Do remember that Singer was responsible behind the last film, X-Men: Days of Future Past. That movie amassed a record $746 million worldwide, the best for any X-Men film so far. If you were able to watch until the ending credits, there was a scene showing Apocalypse putting together pyramids. Now with these teasers out, it all makes sense.

There is no official word yet on the cast that would be appearing for the next X-Men movie although Hugh Jackman should be a shoo-in to appear once again. What is an X-Men film without him?

Another rumored actor who may be appearing is Channing Tatum. He may be playing the part of Gambit although the actor denies that he will be included in the film.

So would X-Men: Apocalypse shatter that record? For now it may be too early to tell. But one thing's for sure, this is one movie that many will be surely watching.
