The UK watched a star in the making as Beverley Trotman won the hearts of the nation with her infectious warmth and amazing vocals during series 4 of the hit talent show - The X Factor.

Following her successful stint on the show, the former primary school teacher from Luton met with Integrity Music Europe late last year to share her passion to record a worship album. Soon after she went into the studio to begin work on her much anticipated debut album, Voice of Hope.

The title track 'Voice of Hope' is written by Abundant Life worship leader Lara Martin and encapsulates the theme of the album - delivering songs of hope, inspiration and optimism in a time of uncertainty.

Beverley explains: "These songs express the hope and joy that I've experienced through my relationship with God, a hope that has strengthened and sustained me throughout my life."

Beverley's debut release is a modern worship album that fuses her love of cross-cultural contemporary worship songs with an acoustic soul/pop/rock sound. Produced by the talented team, Wez er nate, other guest producers include gospel veteran Nicky Brown and mainstream singer-songwriter and producer Ian Green.

Executive producer Janine Levy says, "Beverley and I planned to surprise people that assumed Voice of Hope would be straight-up traditional gospel. Wez er nate pulled out all the stops to create a fresh contemporary edge to the album and have been fantastic to work with."

Nicky Brown adds a special touch with his version of Kathryn Scott's ballad, 'I belong' that sits alongside 'You are my life', a song Beverley co-wrote with Ian Green. Other cover tracks include the anthem 'No Sweeter Name' by Kari Jobe, 'Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone)' by Chris Tomlin and a new song 'Your Love Completes Me' by award winning songwriter and worship leader Mark Beswick. There's also a surprise cover of Stevie Wonder's classic 'Heaven Help Us All'.

Beverley has remained true to herself by delivering a pop/rock/soul debut that accentuates her soulful voice and clearly expresses her warmth and joyful personality.

"It's been a privilege to work with Integrity who have truly supported my vision for making a worship album from my heart," says Beverley.

Voice of Hope is released in October by Integrity Music.
