Bill Goldberg has not been active in the WWE for a decade and yet there have been numerous rumors of the former wrestler coming back, particularly now thanks to the fact he is being prominently featured in the upcoming video game "WWE 2K17." In response, Goldberg has finally opened up in a report from Sporting News about whether or not he might return.

Goldberg explained that if it wasn't for his son he would not have agreed to allow his image be used for the video game. He then expressed full gratitude to the WWE as well as the game's developer, 2K, for making it all happen. He also found it heart-warming to discover that wherever he'd go to promote the game he'd find thousands of fans cheering him on.

Despite the warm welcome and how the recent public appearance have made him warm up to the idea of coming back, he did state that in the end it wasn't his decision. While he would be open to coming back, it is still up to the WWE to decide whether or not they'd invite him.

"It evoked a feeling that I haven't felt in a long time which is kind of cool but the reality is it ain't in my court," he then explained. "It's not in my court. I've said many times that I'm willing to throw water under the bridge but, hey, at the end of the day, it is what it is. I'm here in the video game and I'm ecstatic for that. If that's all that it is, hey, I'm fine, I'm cool. I can live the rest of my life and be extremely pleased with what I've accomplished."

Goldberg was speculated to appear in during Summerslam but like all previous rumors the wrestler did not compete. As reported by Sports Keeda, Goldberg later apologized to the fans who hoped he would fight in Summerslam and did thank them for their continued support.
