According to the latest rumors, former WWE superstar Kurt Angle will be back in the squared circle soon. While this report is not new, Angle himself provided new details about the possibility.

During his recent guest stint on "The Ric Flair Show," he revealed that he is interested as much as WWE is and that there were talks that happened.

"If I go back to WWE it would most likely be the year or year after. I did talk with Triple H a few months ago, very loose conversation. They have interest, I have interest," Angle said.

"They don't know what to do with me yet, you know, it was more of a loose conversation. Put it this way, I wouldn't be surprised if I go back next year and I wouldn't be surprised if I don't go back at all," the former champ went on to say.

He said that if he ends up returning to WWE or not, it will be fine by him. Angle also revealed that he reaches out to WWE CEO Vince McMahon once in a while.

"It's just good to be able to let the past go behind you and you know, if something does happen, it just feels good to know that I will end my career there. If I don't, then that's fine too," the superstar said.

There were also rumors of Angle returning as part of WWE's plans to expand the roster for both Raw and Smackdown in light of the brand split.

Angle continues to wrestle. In fact, he will be battling former WWE talent Cody Rhodes also known as Stardust, who decided to leave the company early this year, for Northeast Wrestling.

The Olympic gold medalist admired the superstar for his talent and had nothing but praises for the budding actor. Speaking to Ring Rust Radio, Rhodes reflected how Angle "has always been a part of my life as a fan, as a wrestler and now competing against one another."
