We as Christians
Would go out of our way
To do something nice
For a stranger each day
For no other reason
We demonstrated
Compassion and love,
Like our father
Shows us
From Heaven above
We gave a moment
Of our lives,
Or rendered a helping hand
To those who are helpless
Among our fellow man
We as God's people
Developed a penchant
For kind deeds,
Perhaps then this world
Would have much less need.
