There will be two title fights taking place tonight in UFC 194, and although Weidman vs Rockhold is an exciting fight, there's no doubt that the eagerly awaited fight between Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo is the main event.

This fight has been a long time coming, but it is finally taking place tonight, and comes almost a year since McGregor riled up the Aldo camp by climbing the Octagon cage to throw down a challenge to Aldo in January.

A fight was initially put on for July, but things had to be put on ice after the Brazilian fighter suffered a rib injury and had to pull out.

Now just before the end of the year, UFC fans finally get the chance to see Aldo and McGregor face off. The Irishman has taunted Aldo in the run up to the fight, expressing doubt that the Brazilian would even turn up on Saturday night, but in response Aldo has remained calm and calculated.

Things have changed over the months though since Aldo's injury. In the original match up that was canceled, Aldo was made the favorite by the bookmakers, but this time McGregor has been given the edge.

Both Aldo and McGregor are undefeated in the UFC, and both have excellent overall MMA records with Aldo boasting a 25-1 record compared to McGregor's 18-2.

In 2015 McGregor has taken hold of the interim featherweight title and Aldo has had to take a step back, but that could all change tonight when Aldo has the chance to reassert himself as the one and only true featherweight champ.

Chad Mendes, who has lost to both fighters has said that he believes Aldo will take the victory tonight.

Mendes said, "I don't know if either guy is going to get knocked out but I think Aldo's going to tear [McGregor] up."

However, McGregor has not allowed any doubters to get to him, and he has repeatedly insisted that he will not only win but that he will win quickly by knockout. McGregor told the Wall Street Journal: "Four minutes. I'll KO him."

Whether McGregor can live up to his words remains to be seen, and certainly Aldo has other ideas about how tonight's fight will go.
