The hit manga series turned anime might be coming back on air for its third season earlier than expected. Despite the limited information from Studio Pierrot, rumors suggest that the third season of "Tokyo Ghoul" might just be up for a 2016 Winter release.

Sui Ishida's serialized manga has gained huge success because of its unique and dark story. Because of the manga's success, the production of the "Tokyo Ghoul" anime series has experienced a lot of pressure from its anxious fans, which could make for an earlier release date for "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3.

Though limited rumors about the show's release are spreading on the internet, the same cannot be said for the show's plot. A lot of speculations on "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3's plot suggest that the upcoming season will come up with darker and more twisted scenes.

The new season of "Tokyo Ghoul" is also expected to strictly follow the manga storyline, which means fans can expect Kaneki — a major character who is affected by amnesia in the manga — to take on the name Haise Sasaki as a Ghoul investigator in season 3.

Additionally, as per the original manga storyline, fans can also expect Kaneki's defeat from Kishou Arima.

Ken Kaneki will also be shown in "Tokyo Ghoul" season three as an authentic amnesia victim who did not really intend to hide his identity and pretend to be a police investigator. In "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3, Kaneki will be shown remembering his memories and eventually figuring out who he really is.

Furthermore, rumors about "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3's plot suggest that upon Ken Kaneki's recollection of his true identity, he will be leading a team of extraordinary people called the "Quinx Squad." The team is said to possess certain powers that lets them beat Ghouls. The team is said to have the capability to imitate the special powers of Ghouls.
