Quieting doubts about the status of their marriage, country music stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill gave a wonderful performance at Sunday's Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, and ended the ballad with a kiss.

The power couple has been dogged by rumors of an impending divorce for nearly a year. From McGraw's working relationship with 24-year old Taylor Swift, to Faith Hill's so-called "trust issues," the couple has been the victim of gossip and numerous false reports.

"[Rumors] seem to be running like crazy right now for some reason. It's perplexing," Hill, 46, told People Magazine in November. "I don't know why 'happy' can't be a story."

McGraw stated that rumors have followed the couple since their marriage began, nearly two decades ago.

"We've been married 17 years, and since the first week we were married those things were out," McGraw, 46, told People. "We don't even think about it. The only time we ever think about it is [when we] worry about the kids. But they've been around it, too, so they laugh it off." McGraw and Hill have three daughters: Gracie, 16, Maggie, 15, and Audrey, 12.

In an August 2013 interview, McGraw described his recipe for a successful marriage.

"The easy answer is just to shut up and not say anything; that's easy," McGraw told the Huffington Post. "But really it's a lot of give and take and it's a lot of no ultimatums."

The couple performed McGraw's single "Meanwhile, Back at Mama's" at the ACM Awards, and took home the Video of the Year Award for "Highway Don't Care"-- his duet with Taylor Swift. McGraw was nominated for three other awards, including Album of the Year, for his 2013 release, "Two Lanes of Freedom." Faith Hill has won 14 ACM Awards in her twenty-year career.

The couple is currently on their Soul2Soul concert tour, and will be performing this weekend in Las Vegas.
