'The Young and the Restless' spoilers: Melissa Claire Egan departs show, Billy chooses Victoria, Adam Newman to return

In the past weeks, a love triangle was brewing between Billy, Victoria and Chelsea. However, it looks like Chelsea won't be in the running for Billy's heart anymore. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Melissa Claire Egan, the actress who plays Chelsea, will go on a vacation as scheduled. This means that we won't see Chelsea in "The Young and the Restless" for a couple of weeks. Anyhow, here are the other spoilers for "Y&R" this week:

"Y&R" head writer Shelly Altman had to weave Egan's departure in the story. She does this by making Chelsea realize that she will always be second to Victoria in Billy's heart. Billy really does care for Victoria. And for this reason, she decides to leave Genoa City.

Altman told Celeb Dirty Laundry: "It's clear to Chelsea that Victoria still occupies a big place in Billy's heart. Later, Chelsea informs Billy that she's leaving town. Billy's surprisingly disappointed to hear it. Chelsea's seizing on a work opportunity to sort out her confusing feelings."

Talking about Chelsea's departure, it's been a rumor that Chelsea's supposedly dead husband, Adam Newman, will be coming back to "Y&R." The actor to play Adam is still not confirmed, but it won't be Michael Muhney. If he does come back, Chelsea's departure will be a good move so she doesn't have to deal with Billy and Adam drama.

But before Chelsea leaves, she will learn that grandpa Victor wasn't the one who gave Connor a soccer ball for his birthday. With some clever thinking, she might actually realize that Adam is very much alive.

Chelsea's departure will open new story arcs, but what fans really want to know is if Billy will change his mind now that he will lose Chelsea. And what happens when Chelsea discovers that her husband is actually alive and wants to stay with their son Connor?
