Week 2 of "The Voice" season 9 will commence on Monday, bringing a new set of talented hopefuls who will vie for the attention of the coaches this season.

In the first part of the season premiere last week, the audience and coaches alike were mesmerized by the impeccable performance of the Harlan, KY native Jordan Smith, whose rendition of Sia's modern classic "Chandelier" made coaches Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, Gwen Stefani, and Blake Shelton among themselves to make him part of their respective teams.

In the end, the baby-faced college student with an amazing vocal range chose Levine to be his coach for the season after the Maroon 5 frontman described him as "the most important person that's ever been on this show."

Aside from Smith, Levine added three other contestants to his steam for "The Voice" season 9, including the 33-year-old Irish rocker Keith Semple, radio host Regina Love, and the 30-year-old country singer James Dupre, who surprisingly chose Levine over the show's resident country crooner Shelton.

Team Gwen, meanwhile, has the most number of members at this point in the competition. The "No Doubt" lead singer managed to grab 19-year-old Noah Jackson, 26-year-old Tim Atlas, and 23-year-old Hanna Ashbrook by default since she is the only chair turner for these contestants. Stefani's team also includes the 26-year-old Ellie Lawrence, Kota Wade and Braiden Sunshine.

Team Pharell, who got the first win of the season when the four-chair turner Mark Hood picked him over the other coaches, also got several great inclusions in his lineup. The team now includes 17-year-old Ivonne Acero. She shocked the audience with her powerful rendition of Taylor Swift's "Style." Williams also managed to charm his way into geting Evan McKeel from Virginia and Ashley Siahna Im from Washington to join his team.

Meanwhile, Team Shelton managed to get five contestants during the first week of the competition. They include the 23-year-old Delaware native Nadja Nicole, the 35-year-old Arkansas local Barrett Baber, 32-year-old North Dakota singer Blind Joe, 16-year-old Zach Seabaugh from Georgia, and the Tennessee teenager Emily Anne Roberts.

For the upcoming week, viewers of the show should expect to see more exciting performances in "The Voice" season 9. And based on the trailer, an unexpected event will happen for the first time in the competition.

"The Voice" season 9 Week 2 airs Sept. 28 and Sept. 29 on NBC.
