'The Vampire Diaries' spoilers: Three more deaths before season 5 finale

"The Vampire Diaries" season 5 finale may include three more deaths, according to executive producer Caroline Dries.

Will two of the deaths be that of characters Damon and Elena?

In a promo video, the two were shown driving towards Mystic Grills with Damon exclaiming "Come on!" Elena closed her eyes - then the car crashed and exploded. In some of the photos of the finale episode, one image showed Damon holding a bottle of drink while sitting on the hood of his car and overlooking at Mystic Falls.

Meanwhile, a promo video for Episode 22 titled "Home" has been released as well to show Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) "Project Kaboom" to stop Markos (Raffi Barsoumian) once and for all.

Damon shared with Elena (Nina Dobrev) about his "Project Kaboom" and that he needs someone to trigger the big explosion. The next scene showed Damon and Elena getting inside the car and headed to Mystic Falls for a head on collision.

E! Online caught up with Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett) and she hinted that, "Everyone's going to be up in arms. We've had some pretty big season finales, but I would definitely have to say this is definitely one of the biggest we've had."

When she was asked about the major deaths in the series, she answered, "When aren't there big deaths? It's what happens with them that matters." It could mean that the death of the characters will yield to new beginnings.

Paul Wesley also dropped some hints that a big change will happen in Mystic Falls. Paul told TV Guide, "[The finale] definitely establishes new parameters in the environment we'll be shooting in Season 6. They reset things in a way, and the writers have the ability to now change the circumstances and locations of where the show takes place."

"The Vampire Diaries" airs Thursday nights at 8 on The CW.
