'The Originals' season 3 episode 20 spoilers: 'When Nothing Stays Buried' sees Klaus try to track down Lucien

Klaus and Lucien finally meet again in "The Originals" season 3 episode 20The CW

Cami has died twice already in "The Originals" season 3. While she was lucky enough to escape death in the first one, the second time around, which happened in the latest episode, might have killed her for good.

Despite the collective efforts of everyone, Cami died of Lucien's bite. But unlike her first death experience, this time she heard an "I love you" from Klaus, and they acted as real lovers before she succumbed to the reaper.

Now, Klaus is angrier and more determined than ever in bringing down Lucien for good. In "The Originals" season 3, episode 20, titled "Where Nothing Stays Buried," Klaus, Freya and Elijah attempt to find a way to do just that.

However, the team was split up when Kol and Marcel asked for their help, presumably for Davina, who appeared as dead as Cami by the end of the previous "The Originals" episode.

Fans will remember that Davina was bitten by Kol, who, thanks to the vengeful ancestors' tampering, was made from her dearest lover to her worst nightmare.

At the outset, Davina also died in the last episode. Like Cami, she is also practically dead now. However, if it all goes Marcel's way, they should be able to bring the young witch back to life.

To ease Davina's fans' worries, "The Originals" showrunner Michael Narducci told Entertainment Weekly that Davina won't be eliminated that easily.

"You can imagine that Davina's story is not yet over," he said.

Going back to "The Originals" season 3, episode 20, Klaus decides to leave Elijah and Freya behind so they can help with the issue with Davina while the vengeful Mikaelson takes Hayley instead. The two go after Lucien down at the bayou after learning of his new plan, which involves taking another important person away from Klaus – Rebekah.

Klaus, discovering the plan, puts him one step ahead of their enemy. But it will be a great challenge to keep it that way. And needless to say, this leads to a long overdue showdown between Klaus and Lucien.

However, according to the synopsis of the upcoming "The Originals" season 3 episode, this standoff will push Freya "to take matters into her own hands, setting off a chain of events that will change all of their lives forever."

"The Originals" season 3, episode 20, "When Nothing Stays Buried" will air May 6 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
