The milestone every Christian must pass on their way to wholeness in God

Everyone knows what it's like to be in lack because we've all experienced it before. However, we must never misunderstand our incompleteness as being something that God desires for His followers. Through Christ, God makes complete wholeness available and His ultimate end goal is for you to experience that wholeness in every way.

Wholeness means to feel and be complete to the point of undeniable satisfaction. It is in every person's soul and mind to experience wholeness. The most uneasy feeling a person ever gets is the feeling of having a hole that must be filled. As long as there is a void in our hearts, we will feel unresolved as human beings, and that's exactly the way God made us.

The world wants you to think that your needs will be satisfied if you get your hands on this one magical 'thing' that's currently missing in your life - this is the premise that the global advertising industry thrives on. Often, we are made to believe that we need more money, fame, recognition, sensuality, satisfaction, security, and lots and lots of things.  And that we must gain all, whatever it takes, even if it means abandoning God's ways and God's will.

This remains the enemy's greatest deception and something that we must overcome if we ever want to experience wholeness.

John 10:10 tells us, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

While the devil and consequently this world wants you to feel empty and lacking, God desires that we be satisfied and fulfilled in every way, but He also wants us to experience that satisfaction on His terms and through His holy ways. While we are far from ever achieving God's righteous ways, we can depend on Christ to meet the standard for us. He is the only way to God's fullness.

Referring to Jesus's finished work, Colossians 1:19-20 says, "For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross."

God originally created everything whole and wants us to experience that wholeness still today, and Jesus is the way to that satisfaction because only He can truly satisfy every need in a holistic way. He doesn't necessarily give us more resources or more treasures, but He fills us up with everything we truly need to make us content in every situation.

And while some of you may not have truly experienced Jesus' wholeness, James 1:4 tells us, "And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." God calls us to steadfastly trust in Him because He can and will satisfy every need.
