"The Incredibles 2" is slowly piecing together with certain elements of the much-awaited sequel already in place. As fans already know, Brad Bird, who directed the 2004 original comedy superhero film, will be back to helm and write the script for the follow-up. But another individual familiar to the project is bound to return.

Bird recently confirmed that Michael Giacchino, who did the musical score in the first movie, will be back to take on the same job for the new adventure of the lovable superpowered family. This was revealed after the filmmaker answered a fan via Twitter about the Academy Award-winning composer being on board.

"Yep. You can't do better than a perfect fit," Bird tweeted the fan back. Indeed, Bird and Giacchino love working together to make movie magic. Their latest film collaboration is the George Clooney-starrer "Tomorrowland" and their seamless pairing should be as big a nostalgia hit to many as "The Incredibles 2" movie itself.

Giacchino's work helps in making the movies he is in much more memorable. He did terrific musical scoring for the Colin Trevorrow blockbuster hit "Jurassic World" and "Star Trek into Darkness" among many others in his resume. Bird and Giacchino's tandem is expected to shine in the highly anticipated movie.

Meanwhile, development of "The Incredibles 2" is moving along. Back in September, Bird revealed that the story arc is all set and at that time, he said he was done with the three-quarters of the script. The filmmaker also revealed he's having a lot of fun because he gets to work with the same people he worked with in "The Incredibles."

Despite the crucial development process pressing on, "The Incredibles 2" won't be out until June 21, 2019. That's 15 whole years after the first movie that introduced Mr. Incredibles, Elastigirl, Violet, Dash and little Jack-Jack hit the silver screen.
