"The Incredibles 2" is not expected to hit theaters until perhaps 2019, but it seems that the team behind the Disney-Pixar sequel is already taking shape.

Brad Bird is back to direct for "The Incredibles 2," but another key component set to return is Michael Giacchino. He is the same guy who wrote the score for "The Incredibles" first installment and such was announced no less by Bird himself via Twitter.

It will be a reunion of sorts for Bird and Giacchino who teamed up for Disney's other flick, "Tomorrowland."

To Giacchino's credit, he has also worked scores for other popular films like "Inside Out," "Jurassic World," and "Zootopia." Given that short list, Giacchino is a proven asset who can surely bump up the expectations for folks who have been looking forward to the sequel of the film, which debuted back in 2004.

As for the plot of "Incredibles 2," there is still no official word on what the super-powered family will carry. Frozone is said to be returning, according to Samuel L. Jackson, through a report from the Collider, while there were those initial rumors about Jack-Jack playing a pretty big role for the sequel, according to Cross Map.

Jack-Jack was, of course, a baby in the first installment but will now be shown perhaps at the age of 11 or 12.

Because of his overprotective parents, he eventually becomes an outcast in the sequel, which will lead him to join the wing of an evil villain.

The climax seems to be the one wherein he would be given a hard mission to accomplish — to annihilate his own family.

It remains to be seen if this will be the actual plot of the film so take it with a grain of salt.

"The Incredibles 2" is expected to hit theaters on June 21, 2019.
