The final two installments of "The Hunger Games" trilogy are set to hit the big screen this year and next year.

Director Francis Lawrence dished out some spoilers about the upcoming movie adaptation of the last book by author Suzanne Collins. The  young adult trilogy captured the hearts of many readers. Some of the scenes in the film are not found in the book.

"Instead of changing the plot and changing characters, what we did was have the opportunity to show scenes that could have been happening at different times in the book," the Oscar-winning filmmaker told Entertainment Weekly. Lawrence said that the film will include humorous scenes not found in Collins' book.

He also said that the two films will tell two different and very distinct stories. This prompted his decision to split the final book into two separate films. He confirmed that the second film will pick up where the first film left off, although he did not say where the films will break.

There are speculations that the first film will end just on the right scene – Finnick and Annie's wedding. The wedding of the two is almost halfway into the book and marks the joining of the citizens of Panem.

Everyone feels that it was the perfect way to leave the first film. However, others think that the first film of the trilogy's end will end with the scene where Peeta is brought back to District 13 and instead of hugging  the film's protagonist Katniss Everdeen he chokes her. This is due to the torture he received.

Director Francis Lawrence confirmed that the Katniss will be distraught and disoriented. He also said that the love triangle between Peeta, Katniss, and Gale will remain. However, it will be harder this time because of Peeta's situation

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" will be released  Nov. 21, 2014 and part two will hit the theaters a year later on Nov. 20, 2015.
